Jobless Aid Applications Fall

According to this article the jobless aid applications have fallen by 10,000, and seasonally adjusted to 332,000. The Labor Department said that last month the unemployment aid hit a five year low. These applications are a proxy for layoffs which have fallen by 13 percent since November. To add to theses figures is the unemployment rate, which was a four year low of 7.7 percent. The article further adds that even though taxes like the social security have increased, core retail sales have only strengthened.
