Consumer 10 Report: Used cars a better value, but do your homwork

It is reported that purchases of used cars are double digits higher than they were in the last quarter. Also, there have been 4 more million purchases of used cars this year than last year. These numbers could indicate individuals value on money right now. The value of money for a new car, isn't a priority for some people. Since money has been tight for a few years now, some families are starting to feel the impact of the economy. According to this article, cars that are one year old are 20-30 percent cheaper than a brand new car. Could this be an indicator of how well the economy is doing? People are saving money on luxury items, but they are still buying a luxury item.
