Claims for unemployment benefits rose slightly last week but the underlying trend shows that the economy is headed in the right direction. The number of workers still receiving benefits fell 48,000 to 4.3 million the week of November 6
th. These were the lowest figures since November 2008.
I think it is a good sign that the numbers of workers receiving benefits has decreased, but also it has to be realized that people might have run out of time to collect the benefit since their is a cap on how long you can receive it for.
