Although this article may be dated, it breaks down the numerous components of GDP that are having the largest influence on economic growth. For example, personal consumption expenditures comprise over 70% of growth. Although growth rates in the last few quarters are not commonly seen in expansionary periods, they are still promising. The article goes on to describe several G.D.P. components and what they mean to a recovering economy.
