This is very interesting, and I can see how there would be very differing opinions on it. I'm guessing the government had to pay TotalEnergies because they had a previous deal with them to build the wind project? This really highlights how changing administrations can drastically change plans. A president can make all the plans and deals he wants, but once his term is over, none of those plans mean anything. I can understand why people are upset about this change and why some people are happy. It makes sense to invest in affordable fuel NOW, but it would also make sense to protect the environment for the future. An issue like this makes it really hard to determine what the RIGHT course of action is.
