http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-04-05/following-goldman-investment-banks-eye-utah#r=com-s

This article discusses how investment banks like Goldman Sachs are reaping the incentives being provided by the state of Utah. Factors such as cheaper labor and real estate compared to New York City, and even lower tax bills are allowing banks to expand the employment of Utah workers in the industry. Goldman now even has asset managers, research workers and investment bankers in the state. Other firms like Morgan Stanley and Royal Bank of Scotland are following suite.

If you're interested in Investment banking, as this article alludes to, you might not see Wall Street, but Salt Lake City is definitely a possibility.

  1. This is a great investment into this nation allowing jobs to move into new states and areas that they need to move too. This allows for larger growth throughout the nation rather than just urban areas.

  2. It is great to see this type of growth and expansion, but why Utah? Cheaper labor and real estate can be found almost anywhere outside of New York. And dual language citizens are common on many coasts. What makes Utah so unique?
