Google Attackers Gained Access to Computer Code

Attackers who breached Google Inc.'s systems last year gained access to computer code for the software that authenticates users of Google's email, calendar and other online programs, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Google said it believed that the attackers were trying to access the Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists. Google said they traced the attacks back to China.

  1. Sounds like China should stop blocking its population from information that should be public information to the world. I hope China rethinks their policy and allows Google to set up its browsing services in China.

  2. I agree with Ted. If China never blocked content from its people they would not have to hack security codes to access information.

  3. Yeah this is probably true but there is no way China will or can do this under their form of government.
