Tesla, an automaker company that specializes in electric motors, will soon unveil an electric semi-truck. Investors and competitors will be looking closely to see how this product will affect the commercial trucking market. Elon Musk has only high hopes for his latest invention. Tesla has informed that the truck has better torque than any regular semi and is way cheaper to operate. Tesla's passenger vehicles also have set the standard in the car market. They are becoming the safest and most inexpensive car to date. If Tesla produces this semi truck and the market responds positively they will impact many industries. The only down side will be waiting periods, since Tesla is already backed up with orders or their newest Model 3 car.

This is very interesting. After reading this story, I want to buy tesla stock. This new electric semi will most likely create growth for Tesla and the electric car market overall. I am also sure the environment will be so much better off once more electric semis take the road. Good for Elon!
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to see all of the projects that Tesla has been taking on over the past few years. I believe this idea will be very beneficial for many industries as you stated. It will greatly reduce shipping expenses, which can be quite costly, especially for smaller firms with less shipping volume. Shipping firms could also benefit by becoming more cost effective and environmentally friendly. It will be interesting to see just how long it will be before this Tesla truck, along with some of their other projects take to hit the market and effect the economy as a whole.

While most innovators are concerned with just differentiating products from year to year, Elon is committed to cleaning up the environment and raising the standard when it comes to clean transportation. When it comes to his other projects, like developing speed trains to get from DC to NYC in 30 minutes, his vision is second to none. An absolutely fascinating mind!

I could not imagine an electric semi, this will mean the technicians for regular semis will have to go back and learn a whole new system if they want to be able to work on the new style trucks. this could create many new jobs and opportunities for new careers. It will be interesting to see how the new technology works.
ReplyDeleteAn electric semi. Unbelievable. This would help cut emissions and save money. There could also be some negative effects if the truck industry goes green,mechanics could be out of jobs and it could also have some effect on the oil and gas industry.
