This article on the New York Times, talks about the way Donald Trumps is seen by a far right political party in Greece. The representatives of Golden Dawn, a Neo Nazi party that was third in votes in the previous elections and has been in the parliament for the last 5 years, saw Trumps win as a victory for clean States. The rise of a party like Golden Dawn is a result of poverty and illegal immigration and as the article says, many other European countries might follow that example. Far right parties of Europe seem to be satisfied with the results of the 2016 american national elections.

  1. Of course European countries love Trump winning because if they believe he outsources jobs the government's of foreign countries can broker a deal for firms to lease territory.

  2. It is interesting how our election plays such a big role in other countries throughout the world where as in other countries it seems as if it doesn't play as big of a role on us.

  3. The Brexit referendum, and economic nationalism in Hungary, and Russia, are other great examples of nationalism rising in Europe. Many of the rightwingers of more economically stable states in the west are finally calling for changes to bring the focus of growth and security back home.
