DACA ending will be a downside for republicans

If congress does not act appropriately on the DACA and Dreamer issue republicans will be in for a loss. There is no real reason to attack these 800,000 immigrants right now. They are all working and contributing to our communities and our great country. Republicans will see many battles within themselves if they do not focus on greater issues and communicate effectively.

Bannon, a right-wing media executive who used to work for the Trump administration, warns republicans about this issue. If actions are not executed well, they could be in for a great disadvantage.  Losing the house will make passing federal laws for Trump more difficult. For right now, I recommend for Trump if he wants to be productive to not focus on immigrants who are working and advancing our country but to instead use his power to fulfill his campaign promises. There is no insight if he will ever repeal Obamacare or implement the three trillion dollar infrastructure plan.

  1. If our president looked to learn from the different cultures that surround us everyday versus banishing them from the United States, productivity would skyrocket. Unfortunately its too late for some old elected officials to change and bigotry in the white house is becoming a norm.

  2. I agree with both of these posts. There have been a lot of news articles recently that include statistics showing how productive and better educated DACA immigrants who came to this country as children are - especially when compared with undocumented immigrants generally. For example, a survey conducted last month by the University of California and other organizations found that more than 90% of the 800,000 DACA immigrant adults are employed. DACA immigrants are also more likely to launch new businesses than other Americans: 5% of DACA immigrants have done this compared with just over 3% of other Americans. So even for people who don't believe the US should freely allow immigrants to enter, they would have to admit that DACA students make our economy much stronger.
